From electoral rolls the only Florence OHLSON was married to Frederick Burton OHLSON a civil servant.  They lived in Mangakino in 1949, 54, 57 but ended up (1957-80) living in North Shore, Auckland

Here is there marriage announcement in 1934 - married in 1933, her maiden name Edmonds,
her father (the late S.Edmonds)

I am an Ohlson family member and my mother always referred to Frederick Burton as Burty, perhaps this is where the confusion of first name comes in, as in "Albert=Berty". He went by his middle name.

Cheers

Yes nan (Florence) always called pop "Burty". His mates called him Burt .I never heard him called anything  else. The  Ohlsons moved from Mangakino to castor bay in 1958.
Later on they moved to milford where they lived till their deaths.

We have some Ohlson information about FJ Ohlson and His wife Janet as well.My mum was a frequent visitor to the house at 15 Kipling Avenue.

I am willing to share any info that's useful just let me know
