I have this.

Joseph André Marie LEROY, Born 28 September 1827 in Pleurtuit, Ille-et-Vilaine, France.
Died 23 May 1868 in St Pierre, St Pierre & Miquelon, Dom-Tom, France.
Married Marie Rose MACÉ.

Joseph is my great grandfather.

I was also told this. PLEURTUIT is a pretty little village in France near Dinard! accross from St Malo!.

St Malo is given as place of his registration as sailor next to his number

His wife.s maiden name is consistently spelt Masse on these documents .

I wonder why there is no cause of death on the certificate s

Hi,

Saint-Pierre and Miquelon-Langlade are islands off the coast of Newfoundland (Terre Neuve), Canada. It is a territorial collective whereby inhabitants possess French citizenship.

Hi, what's the number for ??

As for my great grand mother "Marie Rose MACÉ" I'm told there are also 4 different spellings of MACE - MACES - MASSELET - MOSLEY (IN CANADA)

The number seems to be his  sailors registration code maybe his unit .

Did you already have the names of Joseph's parents ...?

They are beautiful certificates you are lucky to have them .
