The children don't seem to be named after their parents, only hint is Coates, mother's maiden name, if Harry Warren Goodwin is their son and we don't know for sure, is Warren a nee name in the family

Hello
Thanks for all your replies. No Warren isn't a family name and nor is Harry.Lot's of Georges ,Johns and the occasional Charles and Isaac on David's mother's side.
I did look at the Cheshire BMD and none of the 5 registered in the sub district of Rainow which doesn't look too good.
The more I think about it the only lead I can see involves a trip to Chester archives to try and track down the St Thomas High Lane  christenings and see if Norman and the missing child were baptised there.
 ???

Don't know where you hail from Cider but I hope it is a fruitful journey, you never know someone might pick this plea up and do it for you, you know how kind and helpful RC's are

PS, Have you tried putting relationship to head as, patient, inmate or the like as you seem to think it is a possibilty

No nothing to report.
I've not made it to Chester and no one's offered.
