In 1891 probate was granted to Charles Bathurst Greville, bank manager and William Sewell  on the will of William Charles Greville, Bank Manager, late of St Leonards, formerly of Bathurst.

Hi Brooke,
From around 1850 gold in sizeable quantity,  was discovered in the states of Victoria, NSW, Queensland, Western Australia.  New Zealand also.

Many hundreds of thousands of immigrants flooded into the country in hopes of good luck.  They were from every part of the world, every nationality and surname.

If you were to be a little more specific in your query it may be possible to help further.
Do you have some family details such as given names of your GREVILLEs and do you know which state in particular or time era you are interested in?

Thanks everyone for your help
The Greville gold miners may have been around the Durban area and I am sure I have seen the name Milburn/Milborne/Milburn, correct me if I am wrong, I will post if I come across it.
The Greville name may actually be Fulke Greville and there are other names coming up in areas of search related to this Greville, they are Harcourt and James Jennings Gold miners.
