Macclesfield, Rainow Road mystery
« on: Sunday 25 September 16 22:50 BST (UK) »
Hey there, my brother lives in a house on rainow road and I know it dates back to the 1880's. I'm interested in finding out who lived there in the census's only thing is i cant find the road on there!!
I've searched high and low as to whether rainow road was named something else but can't find anything. I've even gone through all the other roads census's around rainow road in hopes that it'll pop up somewhere.

Can anyone shed any light on this? it's considered higher hurdsfield but that doesn't help my search either :(

Thanks for your help, isn't lima farm too far away?? Looks like it is in Rainow near Blaze Hill. I've looked at maps and lowerfield farm seems to be where the house is now but still can't find anything when searching :(

I've found it! In the 1911 census the address had been transcribed wrong which is why it wasn't showing up when i searched for it, thank you for your help as the maps you used helped me a great deal!
