Briggs of Ashby area

Could some one kindley see if they can find a marriage in Ashby of William Briggs and Ann Tetley in 1833.  Their first child was born 18th Aug 1833 in Staunton.

Could I please ask if you can find  Williams' birth 16 feb 1813 at Derby Hills which I believe is part of Ticknall.  I need to know his father as I think I have William attached to the wrong family.

I can't see anything.  FreeREG is just that - free to use.  Not complete as records are being uploaded continually.  FreeREG contains transcriptions, by volunteers, from original parish registers.

Family Search has a baptism of William Briggs on 16 February 1813 at Gumley, Leicestershire.  Parents John and Hannah.  If I were you, I would endeavour to verify this entry from the original parish registers.

I had come across that entry but I have recently had cause to reconsider it, as when I find his parent s and siblings on the census  William is the only child born in Derbyshire Two older siblings and two younger were all born in Gumly so it seems a bit strange.  Thanks again Jean
