Williams Family

Elizabeth5 had posted a page of the Bates family who were coach builders.
I would very much like to know if the book includes earlier family members and if there is a genealogy. I have an ancester, Benjamin William Bates (b 1868 Gorey) who married Josephine Bates (b 1864 Gorey). She was the daughter of William Bates (coach builder) and Anna Stedman.

I am looking for information on George Hart Hughes, a protestant who emigrated to Canada after 1839, which is his supposed birthdate in Gorey, Wexford. I am assuming that Hart may have been his mother's maiden name? He died in Montreal, Quebec, in 1921. The Thomas Staples mentioned earlier in this thread is also a great-great-grandfather and any information on his family prior to emigration would be appreciated.
