Parents were Frances Gould and Elizabeth Kendall.  Birth certificate has wrong Parents.

Any ideas please ?

When you say the birth certificate has the wrong parents recorded do you actually mean this is not the birth registration of the person you are looking for?

You can actually order a birth certificate from the GRO specifying the parents must be Frances and Eliza. They will search one year either side of the specified birth year. If they can't find a match you receive a refund

Hello Crisane,

Sorry for late reply.  I'm trying to help a friend who doesn't have the internet.  We have the family on the 1901 and 1911 census.  The Birth certificate he received had the Parents as Alfred Gould and Harriet Insley. Her Parents were Frances Edward Gould and Elizabeth Kendall.  Also unable to find any baptisms for any of her siblings.

The GRO weren't very helpful, suggested he did some more research ?

If you want the GRO to do a search do not put the volume, page number. Then on the second page tell them you want a birth registration for an Elsie Gould whose parents must be  Francis Edward Gould and Elizabeth nee Kendall.
I would be inclined to leave out all persons middle names just in case they weren't used on the birth registration.
Is that the family I gave in the 1901 census. If so ll the children born Small Heath which was not in the Aston registration district

According to Genuki, Small Heath was transferred to Birmingham from Aston in 1920,
