St Gregory Sudbury Look Up please
« on: Friday 09 September 16 08:54 BST (UK) »
My first post. Can anyone look up a marriage in St Gregory's parish records.  1823 Charlotte Goodwin to William Cross. Hoping to find Charlotte's mother or father

Thanks

LDS film 989536 suggests that the marriage may have been at Hammingfield but as it's from the Bishop's Transcripts, could be misleading. I can have a look next month if no-one beats me to it

LDS film 952203 seems to be the St Gregory reference but unfortunately that film's not available where I visit

According to the Suffolk Marriage Index the marriage took place at St Gregory Sudbury 25 July 1823. Unfortunately marriage records never give the mother's name and father's name is only given from 1837 . The only other information on the record will be the names of the witnesses.

Yes, have often seen the father on them but rarely mother. Maybe witnesses will establish family.
Thanks
