Cameron John Campbell born about April 1826

My 2nd great grandfather Cameron John Campbell was born about 24 April 1826 according to his tombstone.  He immigrated to Mosa Township, Middlesex, Ontario.  He died 24 Dec 1904 in Ekfrid, Middlesex.  He was married to Elizabeth McLauchlan in Ekfrid before 1859.  Their daughter was my great grandmother Jessie M. Campbell married to Malcolm Fletcher of Lobo Township, Middlesex.

I found a baptism of John C Campbell, son of William Campbell and Cath. Cameron 19 Aug 1826 in Reay parish, Caithness.  I cannot prove that this is Cameron although all the facts point to it.  Does anyone know?

He seems to be JC Campbell in 1871 Canada census, then CJ Campbell in 1881 (checked on A***try) - hard to say if this is significant or not.

Yes this is significant in that both JC and CJ are Cameron.  Unfortunately his son was named John Cameron (see John C) on 1881 census.  I have to read between the lines and look at the other people in the document to be sure which person it refers to.
