You seem to be jumping all over the place once you find anyone named James or Elizabeth Beattie but still haven't indicated if the 1901 Belfast census record is for the correct couple  :-\

Probate of the Will (with one Codicil) of James Beattie late of Follem Big County Fermanagh Farmer who died 18 March 1904 granted at Armagh to Thomas Moan Farmer.
You can view the wording of the Will (2 pages) rather than guessing-

If you think Elizabeth Beattie died in Scotland have you not already tried to find her death on Scotland's People?

The James Beattie (above) that died in 1904 had wife named Catherine-

Which doesn't make much sense as far as your earlier posts go  :-\

If you are looking for the James Beattie and Elizabeth Vaughan who married in 1858 they CANNOT be the couple in the 1901 Belfast census.

James Beattie & Elizabeth Vaughan married in 1858 Killyleagh, Co. Down-

In the 1901 census that Elizabeth is age 55 so born c1846, born in Fermanagh and seems to have a 14 year old daughter called Lizey which indicates they could NOT have been married in 1858-

I think you might need to start using Scotland's People (pay per view) to look for James Beattie & Elizabeth Vaughan in Scotland. Doing a parent search on Family Search brings up the following children-
Sarah born 1863 Dalry, Ayrshire - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XYPZ-B5X
Catherine born 1870 Irvine, Ayrshire - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QK3T-JHYV

At least one online tree gives James Beattie (c1837 Ireland-1906 Paisley) & Elizabeth )c1836 Ireland-1901 Paisley) with a total of 8 children.

I just see now that you've already gotten help finding the Beatties in Ayrshire so I'll not be wasting any more time on this thread  :-\
