Where did Sydenham Terrace, Whitney Bay go?

I have an address of Sydenham Terrace in Whitey Bay in 1939 but cannot find it.  I suspect it became The Avenue off Marine Avenue.

I used to live just round the corner 1959-1976 so this is driving me mad.

Carol, that's in South Shields, not Whitley Bay  ;)  Wrong side of the Tyne  :D

If you search for Catherine BAGE born 18 Feb 1884 it will bring up Number 2 Sydenham Terrace, you can the work from there.
