It it right to say that you don't currently have any indication of Susannah's birthdate by way of (e.g.) census entry or burial record?

What's the source for Joseph having died c1826, and is Susannah known to have survived him?

"60" in 1841 means 60-64, due to rounding in that census.  I see that she is said to have been born in county (Warwickshire), though this is not necessarily reliable.

It is becoming clearer.  :)

I'm glad it wasn't just me who was a bit confused avm.

Gypsy, do you have Susannah in 1851 as well? She would be in her 70s, so possibly still alive.

As avm says, her place of birth which is given as Warwickshire on the 1841 census, is worth checking. Slight doubts arise as she married in Shoreditch, and a couple generally marry in the bride's parish.

In the 1851 census I found a John and Susannah Adams living in Coleshill. I can't quite make out his place of birth, but Susannah was born in Birmingham. He is a shoemaker aged 51, and she is a shoe binder aged 50.

Due to the age discrepancy this does not look like your Susannah.

There is an 80 year old widow Susannah Adams, proprietor of houses b Sawbridge Warwickshire - i don't think this is your Susannah either.

Other Susannah Adams on the 1851 census who were b Warwickshire are even more wrong than the above two. I don't think any of them match up with the 1841 John and Susannah Adams living in Coventry (this John is some kind of labourer aged "65").

Both may have died before 1851, which is a shame.

Have you double checked to see if the marriage between Susannah Beasley and John Adams in 1833, is the correct Susannah? Do you have a copy of the marriage entry? Is an occupation or abode noted?

I've been away from this for a few years so am trying to track down whether there was another reason why I believed Susanna Davis was correct. I think it may have been the only marriage I could find at the time as there is nothing on Ellenor's baptism record (although I haven't looked at witnesses etc).
There were 4 children including Ellenor 1808, Susannah 1806, Hannah 1811 and Joseph 1815. The Susannah born 1806 is also recorded as died 1812.
There are two Susannah Beasleys (the elder) marrying - 1830 to Joseph Smith 1830 to John Adams (or maybe she lost husband number two as well?
When I search for Susannah and marriage to Joseph Beasley I find nothing in Coventry or Foleshill (which is where the other family records seem to be based) so I'm wondering if the Beasley's moved to Foleshill after they married. Or maybe I just haven't found the right marriage yet.

Incidentally, the family tradition is that Susannah was Romany, so when the marriage to Joseph Beazley came up as the only one that fitted, I went with that given the location in Shoreditch and the probable mobility of families.
