Cheers aghadowey
That Elizabeth Todd was John's daughter.  She had health problems and died at 51.

An Elizabeth Anne Todd married Robert Dunwoody in Belfast on 16 November 1871, her father Samuel was a 'manufacturer' and a William Alexander Todd was a witness, here was the family in 1901:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Down/Victoria/Belmont_Church_Road/1221641/

And 1911:

An Eliza Anne Todd was baptised on 29 September 1848 in St. Anne's Church of Ireland Belfast, the parents were Samuel Todd and Elizabeth Stewart, just a speculative punt to note.

Don't know yet if or how this fits in, but have a look at the following will on the PRONI website to see what you think (the image is digitised for viewing), it brings together the names Stewart, Todd and Dunwoody, it sounds potentially promising with mention of Samuel and Eliza Todd etc. etc.:

The Will of Jane Stewart late of Ballymullen County Down Widow deceased who died 10 February 1874 at same place was proved at Belfast by the oaths of Christopher Todd Warehouseman and Robert Dunwoody Commercial Traveller both of Belfast the Executors.

There are 3 Christopher Todd entries in the PRONI Will Calendars, all worth considering.  The administration case for Christopher Todd who died in 1905 is interesting because of the mention of 'William Leck Todd' - when John Todd married Elizabeth McCammond in 1883, one of the witnesses was a 'William Lackie Todd'.

Here they are in 1901:

Belfast Newsletter, Saturday 17 March 1877:

TODD - March 16, at her son's residence, 28, Regent Street, Belfast, Eliza, relict of the late Samuel Todd.  Her remains will be removed from above address for interment in Drumbo Burying-ground, this day (Saturday), at twelve o'clock noon.  Friends will please accept this intimation.

Belfast 1877 street directory entry for Regent Street: 28 Todd, Samuel, manager for Grimshaw, Bros.,
Castle St.

Eliza Todd's death record shows that she was the 'widow of a manufacturer' with a reported age of 67, present at death at 28 Regent Street was one Christopher Todd.

The will of Jane Stewart who died in 1874 (mentioned at reply #11 above) included reference to the 'late Samuel Todd'.  The following marriage notice from the Belfast Weekly News of Saturday 18 November 1871 for the previously mentioned Dunwoody-Todd marriage brings Samuel's death further back in time:

DUNWOODY-TODD-Nov. 16, at Duncairn Presbyterian Church, Belfast, by the Rev. T.Y. Killen, Mr. Robert Dunwoody, to Lizzie Anne, daughter of the late Mr. Samuel Todd, Belfast

The Will of Jane Stewart late of Ballymullen County Down Widow deceased who died 10 February 1874 at same place was proved at Belfast by the oaths of Christopher Todd Warehouseman and Robert Dunwoody Commercial Traveller both of Belfast the Executors.

I can't find this death on GRONI online, however there is the following reference on Ros Davies' County Down website in which the month of Jane's death is out, but is worth noting for now anyway:

Thomas Stewart   |   Lambeg/Drumbeg   |   died 1 Jan 1870 aged 74; husband of Jane who d. 10 Mar 1874 aged 70; uncle of G. Todd; buried Hillhall Presbyterian graveyard

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rosdavies/SURNAMES/S/StewartKW.htm

Then there are the following inscriptions in Hillhall Presbyterian graveyard, the first matches another of the 3 Christopher Todd PRONI Will Calendars entries:

Erected by C Todd in memory of his wife Isabella Todd who departed this life 16th June 1916 aged 74 years, His brother Robert who died 15th August 1864 aged 15 years, His mother Eliza Todd died 23rd March 1895 aged 84 years, His father William Todd died 9th February 1900 aged 89 years, Also the above named Christopher Todd died 17th February 1928 aged 87 years.

Presumably this was Christopher and Isabella in 1901/1911:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Down/Blaris/Ballymullen/248614/

And this inscription, I'm wondering, could it be C Todd rather than G Todd?

Erected by G TODD in memory of his uncle Thomas Stewart died 1st Jan, 1870 aged 74 years, Also his beloved wife Jane Stewart, died 10th Mar, 1874 aged 70 years.

A Christopher Todd married an Isabella McGowan in Hillhall Presbyterian Church on 8 October 1864, he was a 23 year old clerk and his father was William Todd, a farmer (note the nephew William McGowan in the 1911 census return for house 39 in Ballymullen).

That one is interesting, for there are susbsequent street directory references like this one in 1863:

Todd, Christopher, sewed-muslin manufacturer, 71 Academy Street
