Family Name Palmer/Neilson

Hi,
I did an open search for Palmer and Neilson on 3 sites and got
Samuel Palmer born 1806 to William Palmer and Margaret Neilson in Scotland.
Mary 1809
John 1811.
Other were in the USA and 1993 to 2003 in Northumberland.
Is this the family?

Thank everyone for your help,

Samuel Palmer aged 24 in 1895. Married Kate Wood in Coatbridge Samuels father is noted as Samuel a farm labourer deceased. 4th October. Both Samuels from Ireland

On Margaret Jane Palmers death certificate in 1920 in Coatbridge. Husband is named John Palmer.  Maybe there was a mix up as it was her son John that registered the certificate.

What about details from the census records (especially 1911)?

And how do you know Margaret's mother was Mary Harvey, etc.?

Son  John Palmer died on 11th Dec 1947 age 73. Parents given are John Palmer, Farm Labourer dec'd and Margaret Jane Palmer nee Nelson Dec'd. He was married to Alice Selina Hull.

Son  John Palmer died on 11th Dec 1947 age 73. Parents given are John Palmer, Farm Labourer dec'd and Margaret Jane Palmer nee Nelson Dec'd. He was married to Alice Selina Hull.

Great isobelw where did you get the will info from and I found Johns marriage certificate.

The Will of Samuel Palmer late of Lislea County Armagh Farmer who died 26 December 1893 at same place was proved at Armagh by Nenah Palmer of Lislea Spinster the sole Executrix.
