We don't have a Burial age, George Hood was lost at Sea, with the name board and vessel pieces found on the North Danish coast.

George Hood, Mariner was Father on the 30 June 1833 St Hilda Baptism of John Laidler Hood.

George Hood, was married twice, firstly it seems to Mary Leadlay, in 1829, at Scalby.
Present (wits) William Hood ; Thomas Harrison

M.I. records for Scalby and there is a July 1833 burial of Mary Hood (nee Mary Leadley), Cloughton.
Inserted by the transcribers is ... PR 1833 Jul 26 Mary Hood, Shields, 28.

Newcastle Courant 11th August 1837
"The 8th inst. at Sunderland, Mr George Hood, Master Mariner, to Miss Jane Day, of South Shields."

Newcastle Courant 18 September 1840
Aalborg, August 31.- At Soegard and Aalborg (in the district of Ringkobing), in the course of the months of June and July, 216 pieces of oak timber, ... have washed on shore, with the following marks, ... likewise a ship's boat with the name "Thornyclose, S. Shields," outside and "George Hood" inside of it."

Think George Hood was born to John & Jane and bapt. 19 Sept. 1798 Cloughton  nr Scarborough

I do remember finding that army record for James Hood, seems like an age ago , how time flies 😳

George Hood had Licences for both Marriages (no age stated on Licence in 1837, only full on the Marriage).

Just found a transcription for his first marriage in 1829 which says his age was 28.

There is:-
"Here lieth" ... "Wife of Thomas Craven" ... remainder eroded amongst the Leadleys at Scalby and the Parish Register says Sarah Wife of Thomas Craven was buried 1776.

Research says she was Sarah Hood of Scarborough.

Scalby 3.5 miles to Scarborough.

Thomas Craven left a Will, I purchased it, even though I knew Craven had remarried, but he mentioned only the 2nd family.

George Hood 28 years X Mary Leadley aged 24 years for marriage 22 June 1829
Yorkshire Marriage Bonds and Allegations, 1613-1887
Borthwick Institute for Archives
Actual Marriage George Hood X Mary Leadley
Marriage  23 June 1829
Scalby, North Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom (Church unknown in Familysearch LDS website)

Bondsman ? Phone up or write to Borthwick maybe ?
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

I have found out John Storey, born Newcastle upon Tyne, was a Landscape and Architectural Artist in Water Colours. They lived at 76 Lovaine Place Newcastle upon Tyne.

After the death of John Storey, the Brother of Jane Ann Storey (nee Hood), George William Hood born South Shields, a Bachelor, went back to live in her house at 76 Lovaine Place, Newcastle upon Tyne.

In 1911 George William Hood had completed about 1 year of Marriage and his Wife was Elizabeth. Grave stone calls her, his Beloved Bessie.

The Wife of George William Hood seems to be Elizabeth Davidson, marriage Dec Qtr 1909 (not seen, not checked).

Also, a photograph of their detailed Family Memorial in Newcastle upon Tyne [back to George Hood and Jane], states:-

Has any research been done by you on Thomas and Elizabeth Gibson ( Brown ) of 'Hall Gate' (father Richard cooper Wren lane  Selby ) of Nuns moor/Town moor Newcastle family tree connections - back - sideways relatives (Spouse maiden surnames) or descending relatives  into the 1841 & 1851 censuses.
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi All

I've been doing just that today and getting nowhere fast.

Elizabeth Gibson nee Brown from Bedlington bpt. 1729 dau of Richard & Margaret - seems the most likely but there are a couple of others.

Other children to this couple: Robert 1721, Margaret 1723, Matthew 1726, Robert 1732, John 1735, Richard 1738 and a Jane 1743.

The first son Robert has a burial in 1728 - son of Richard (yeoman) and Margt.
Another son William buried 1742 - cannot find a baptism.

And that's as far as I've got.

Claire

Added: A Will dated 1719 of a Robert Browne of Bedlington, could possibly be the father of Richard Brown, given family names mentioned.

1788 Admin - Thomas Gibson of Benwell Lodge
Jane Gibson of Benwell Lodge in the Diocese of Durham in the County of Northumberland and in the Parochial Chapelry of St John's in the Town & County of Newcastle upon Tyne Widow.

Thomas Gibson late of Benwell Lodge ... Gentleman deceased ...
 -------------------
No Thomas Gibson of Newcastle seen, nor Brown of Bedlington has mentioned Richard Gibson of Selby.

Few Brown of Bedlington left Admin or went to Probate.

A young George Brown of Bedlington, has died at Sea in 1799, Probate says his Father was James Brown, Yeoman and mentions Thomas Brown of Bedlington was also a Mariner.
 ----------
The Descent of Richard Gibson (given in 1800 at his Daughter's baptism) does not name which Brown, which rules out any specific searching.
