I am replying to the posting about the Scott family from Sixmilecross, Tyrone. My family hails from Tyrone & Derry Co. My 3rd G Grandparents were Catherine Scott 1798--William Donaldson 1784,  they had a son John who had a son named Robert Alexander Donaldson. Catherine Scott's father was recorded as Alexander, her mother was Mrs Osborn(e), possibly Martha or Nancy. The family history spreads from Derry down to Castlederg, Tyrone. I am now researching my Scott family history, it is a big task! Lots of Scotts around. Any help wouldbe appreciated.

My great great grandmother was Jane Scott. 1796 to 1855. She married George Cunningham 1818 to 1907. Jane was from Six Mile Cross in County Tyrone. George and 3 brothers immigrated to Ontario Canada and there he married Jane Scott. Not sure where George Cunningham and family were from in County Tyrone. It has been a long search.
