Im trying to find the fathers full name of David W Palmer b 1946 in Leeds. Mothers maiden name is Cartwright. GRO Ref is 9b 823 2Q 1946. Also if this is the same David W Palmer who married in 3Q -1968 to Margaret Crossland in Hemsworth GRO ref 2b 1634. The fathers name would be on the marriage cert also. This could be a possible half brother of a friend but I dont want to send for certs in case it isnt. Any help appreciated, thanks

You can't look up Birth & Marriage certificates!
You must buy them to see the details.

If the marriage and baptism were in an Anglican church, then you might be able to see the Parish Registers?
But Registers this late are rarely available to view.

The person whose details from electoral register I sent a PM about, seems a good fit for the 1968 marriage, but not for the birth you have.
If you google the full name in quotes, he comes up on various company directors list for a company registered at the later of the two addresses I gave you. Information from the directors list gives his month and year of birth which is not the same as the birth registration you have with Cartwright as mother's maiden name.

Thank you Lizzie for your help. All Im really trying to find out is he has the same father as a friend of mine, but their mothers are different. We know that Leslie John F Palmer married a Grace Cartwright and had one child but wondered if this was another. My friend has a different mother, but same father and hoped that David Palmer would be a half brother

looking at it from the Directors list, it says David Winsten palmer was born 1947 so may not be the same one as the birth DW Palmer I`m looking for but thank you for your help
