I notice that Charles has been mentioned as living at St Mary Extra, as a 14 year old boy. Well that's where the Robinson's in our family are, just haven't worked out yet where he goes in our family, but I feel that there must be a connection.
Thomas Robinson born c1765 Hound, Sholing Southampton married Sarah. They had a son William born 9 December 1780, he died in 1866. He married Mary whom died and we then believe he then married Eliza Tempest. He was living in St Mary Extra when his daughter Eliza (my Great,Great, Great,Grandmother) was born in 1821. She married Charles Tilbury in 1840 and she died in 1888. She had a brother William Robinson, born 1825 and died about 1897. He was the Inn Keeper at the Pear Tree Green Inn, St Mary Extra. William married Sarah born 1824 and she died about 1879. They had the following children, George Robinson born 1849, Ann Ursula Robinson born 1851, Charles Robinson born 1852, William Robinson born 1860 and Albert Robinson born 1865. It was William Robinson born 1860 that took over the Pear Tree Green Inn, he was known as Brasher or Bill, until he lost his license for being drunk and disorderly in about 1920. He used to get drunk and drive his horse and cart up and down the street throwing apples at people. The pub was brought from him by Brickwoods and was then bombed in the second world war. I belive that it has now been rebuilt. He is buried at St Mary Extra with his parents, think it is called Jesus Chapel. Sadly we have never found the grave as the writing has worn away, but I would love to know where William Robinson and his parents are located in the grave yard. He married Emily, but don't know anymore than that.
If you find out anymore please let me know.
