Welcome any available information about the above house in Canwyke St London ( modern
Cannon St ) which was in ownership of my 10 x GGF Robert Bate and 9 X GGF Nathaniel Bate
circa 1600-1650 and maybe earlier and/or later. Would have burnt down in Great Fire of London
1666. Have wills from NA which refer to it.

Hi,
A couple of property records referenced by the National Archives mention a messuage called The Beads or "known by the sign of the beads" in or near Old Fish Street. May be a different property, but near Cannon/Canwyke Street.
