Thank you so much for all these juicy leads. Really appreciate it and I'm definitely one step further.
And yes, this Sherman Cutler's son (also named Sherman) lived in Cromer & Runton, and is known locally for the stone carved with his initials and the date 1770 which appears at low tide off the cliffs of Runton.
Haven't yet found his (Sherman Cutler jr.) baptism, but hopefully he'll turn up in one or another of these parishes.
It surprises me how much they moved about, in comparison to my other Norfolk and Suffolk ancestors who lived at the same time. Thetford-Wighton-Lynn-Cromer... the distances are not small.
