I'm getting the warning message and when I try and open the overview of my tree I get a blank screen but I can open the list of individuals and look at the individual's facts.
Campbell, Dunn, Dickson, Fell, Forest, Norie, Pratt, Somerville, Thompson, Tyler among others

Windows 7 with Firefox on SSE internet...

I can get in and edit my tree, but all the searchy functions (other than other people's trees) are just hanging into oblivion.

Not frustrating AT all...

No problems at all here but I'm wondering if it's something similar to what happened last week with the BT service - DNS, pings, dropped packets etc. (I've given up techie!). Many sites and places reported similar experiences as many of you have - I couldn't get into quite a few sites (e.g. Guardian, Met Office). Checked up on the Downtime site and BT got it finally resolved. I think it was something that had gone wrong with their main gateway in North London. I've just checked and there are more complaints about various sites today.

Note it was the lines/connections not just BT customers.

Just a thought.

ADDED - I remember that the Met Office had put up a notice similar to the Ancestry one.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  I can now get back into Ancestry in my usual way - direct to the Home page - although the note is still displayed at the top of the screen.

 :D :D :D
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hopefully it's all fixed now - the "Note" has disappeared  ;D ;D ;D

Well done, Ancestry - makes a change from "knocking" these sites  :o :o

I am back in too, although the search results pages are a little odd, particularly the military results. They are not presented in the usual way and I'm having to hunt around for things.
