Legacy Charting - Access Violation
« on: Tuesday 26 July 16 01:36 BST (UK) »
Installed Legacy using Windows 10. When I try to run "Legacy Charting" I get the following error:

"Access violation at address 0043E424 in mobile Legacy Charting.exe Read address 0000002C"

I can't close the program and have to reboot. Has anyone had this problem and has a resolution.?

If you can't close the program, use Task Manager from your task bar to close it. Better than shutting off the whole machine.

Try this fix for the charting program:

Tried that but still the same. Thanks for tip about closing it. I presume there is another Charting

Program out there somewhere if needed. Did quite a bit of googling for this problem and it seems

that it is sometimes difficult to fix.

Have you tried running it as the Administrator?

I can't see the .exe. Clicking Legacy Charting7 I get the following:

data
gdiplus.dll
Legacy Charting     (appln)
Legacy Charting     (Icon)
Legacy Installed     (Setup Information)
wPDF300A.dll

What am I missing.?

It appears you don't have your file extensions showing, so you need to right click on the application (appln)

OIC. How to I get extensions to show.? When I right click on application and open it brings up

Charting ok, but then trying by normal methods I continue to get the access violation. I appreciate

you putting me on the right track. Will I have to use this method of starting Charting.
