I don't know if it's the way the photo was taken but the shop looks like it's on a corner.

According to the electoral roll of 1922, Martin and Georgina Salzer were at 108 Carlton Street.

In 1924, Harriet, Katherine and William Brown were living at 32 Carlton Road and Ellen, Joseph and Joseph Carolan were at 32 Carlton Street.

It has been many years since I posted this question.   Today, I believe I have the answer!   The Salzers indeed lived at 108 Carlton Street, on the corner of Gilden Road (formally Hanover Street).

The next 'block' to the West had a pub on one corner of Gilden Road and Carlton Road.  The other corner of that block was 33 Gilden Road with an andled doorway.   I'm concluding that this was the shop I asked about :)
Salzer (Germany/Walworth (1900)), Posnett (London), Edwards (London/Surrey), Stout (Whitechapel), Proud (London/Chester)

It’s been years, but I must have enabled notifications though I didn’t contribute to the thread. Well done for finding the address after all these years. It just goes to show that oersistance and revisiting old queries, can be worthwhile. A good result.  :)
