This is just an update as to where I am at the moment.  RCB's information was very interesting and I have spent some time trying to find a link, this is what I found.

Albert John Beach,  Married  Rhoda Davies:-

Rhoda Davies's Father was Thomas Davies:-

Thomas Davies's Father was James Davies, who in the 1861 census lived next door but one too:-

John Beach  b. 1778

Herbert Beach b. 1842

Emma Beach b. 1848

Could this be the link I've been looking for ?.

Ray

Hi - Not been about for a while.

Rhys - How are things moving with your Beach research???

Tanya -
Ellen Beach said to be 20 in the workhouse with her son, will almost certainly be the Ellen Beach 14, daughter of Benjammin and Susannah living in Mansons lane, The Old Shop, The Buckholt.  in 1861, they are there too in 1851. 1841. (Susannah is somertimes listed as Susan)
In 1841 my GGG-Grandfather also Benjamin Beach is living nearby, they are cousins, and descended from Beach families in the Grosmont, St Maughans, Garway area, within site of the Buckholt.  If I remember it say's Ellen was born Llanrothal which is down on the river Monnow, about half way between Monmouth and Grosmont.   Tanya if you have never been here, this is countryside at it's best, the view from the Old Shop is tremendous.
The Beach family seem to have links by marriage, cousins and second cousins, I imagine people moved away, one John Beach born about 1840 went off to Australia, and when I was in Melbourne I found out his daughter died in Camberwell where I was staying.
Keep asking questions, always best to share info, some people have given me tremendous help via these boards.  Cheers Fred Beach
