Poyser family in Blore

I am very interested in this small village, and am wondering if it was maybe more widely populated in the past than now? I am only as far back as 1750 with the birth of my 5th great-grandfather, William Poyser, in Blore, who married Ellen Murphin from Doveridge in Derbyshire. Their first child was born in Doveridge but then the family returned to Blore and the rest of the children were born between 1775 and 1797.

Henry 1788 my 4th great-grandfather married to Ann/e Hodgkinson (who was previously married to Thomas who went to Tasmania, and never returned)

Sons William and Thomas were convicted of horse stealing and sentenced to death but this was commuted and they were transported to Tasmania.

The father, William Poyser, died in 1816 in Staffordshire but not sure where, whether in Blore or somewhere else. I cannot find now, but am sure I saw, that he was a farmer.

Any help on the village itself, where tax records might exist to show he farmed whether owner or tenant, whether buried in churchyard in Blore, etc would be greatly appreciated if someone happens to know the area well.

Not sure what else you have but here's what I can see.
A christening for William at Blore Ray
William s of Daniel and Elizabeth Poyser 18.2.1750 of Swinscoe
Wife Ellen buried at BR 29.11.1822 age 71
The baptisms of William and Ellen's children also give an address at Swinscoe for Elizabeth 1778 and John 1779., but Ellis hill for Daniel 1782.
After that the printed register has no space for addresses.

There is a Ellis Hill brook running parallel to the main road at Swinscoe so somewhere near there.The only building there in 1879 is EllisHill farm.There's copy of the map of Swinscoe and Ellis hill

It looks like Daniel Poyser and Elizabeth Sweetnam were married at Ellastone 14.7.1736 by licence both of this parish.
Their other children are baptised there.
Mary 6.6.1737,Elizabeth 30.3.1740-4.11.1743,Daniel 2.1.1743,Elizabeth 28.1.1745-5.2.1745,Thomas 10.10.1746 and Sussanna 12.2.1749.

Try borrowing a copy from your local library of "Swinscoe, Blore and the Bassetts" by David and Martine Swinscoe 1998.   That gives a fair number of Poysers.
