Major Henry Lionel Pigott, The Red House, Durrington c1911
« on: Wednesday 13 July 16 21:51 BST (UK) »
Hi

I am trying to find out when the Pigotts moved into the Red House and Henry became Land Agent for the army. They were not there for the 1911 census, nor the 1911 Kelly's Directory, but they were there by the 1915 Kellys Directory.

It's not actually the Pigotts I'm interested in, but one of their staff in domestic service was called Mary Williams (b abt 1891/2). I have very little info on her, but if I could find this out, it would at least help me to know where she was and when.

I would very much appreciate any help with this. Thank you

Thank you genechaser. Yes - that's the one. I knew he wasn't at the Red House for the 1911 census, but he was definitely there by 1915 because he's in Kellys Directory (I don't know how frequently these were produced - I've not found any online between 1911 and 1915). I don't know if there's any way of finding out when he moved there, though. I suspect it was very soon after the census to tie in with the sketchy info I have on his domestic servant.
Thanks.
