Mary Luckhurst said to have been born at Ticehurst, Sussex abt 1647 BUT

Mary Luckhurst & John Newington married 5 June 1676 at Wadhurst.  On her and John's MI at St Bartholomews Churchyard Burwash is noted that Mary b 1647 at Ticehurst, Rother District, East Sussex, England.

I have been absolutely unable to locate Mary nor any Luckhursts in Ticehurst including burials.  So it may be that her parents lived elsewhere and Mary was simply born in Ticehurst for some reason as one assumes her MI will have been accurate.  I wonder if her name maybe Lukus as a phonetic equivalent??

I had a look at where the surname Luckhurst is most prevalent and Kent seems to be a bit of a hot spot. This led me to posting on the Kent site.  The same topic is at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=751655.0

Some trees on Anc [without references/sources] have Mary's parents as John Luckhurst and Margery Baker but I am unable to locate a birth/baptism for Mary so have my fingers crossed someone may have better luck than I...
