Hello, I have a marriage bond which says Christopher Spencer of Mr Ralph Robsons farm house, Darlington to Elizabeth Byers dated 27 Jan 1768. Marriage took place 29 Jan 1768. I am trying to find out who Ralph Robson was and I assume Christopher Spencer or Spence was maybe a farm labour. Any help appreciated. Also I cannot find a death for Christopher Spencer or Spence. Thanks.

In April 1779, Ralph son of Ralph Robson, farmer, of High Park Darlington was baptized at St Cuthbert's. A son of the same name had been buried the year before. High Park was part of the Bishop of Durham's lands in Darlington.

A Christopher Spence was buried at High Coniscliffe on July 23rd 1777. No details given so can't tell if he was the right Christopher Spence.
