Agnes Wright aged 6 years born Wishaw Scotland arriving Quebec on the Metagama - June 1923
Proceeding to father Mr Thomas Wright. Box 137 Michael BC. Aunt Mrs Mary Penman 25 1/2 Belhaven Terrace Wishaw.

Also Sadie Wright aged 5 years - Robert Wright aged 10 years and Janet Wright aged 39 years born Coatsbridge Scotland all arriving June 1923.

Obviously the Wright connection which tempted Robert Penman to go to Canada. Lots on the Wright family but Robert is very elusive.  THere was no sign of a Robert Penman with a 3 June 1902 birth date in the USA that I could see. The latest Wright to go to Canada was Lewis McLeod Wright born 1880 brother of Thomas Wright and Agnes Fagan. Glasgow - Quebec arrived May 1921 going to brother Thomas in Michel BC. Wife Mrs Janet Wright 9 1/2 Roberts Street Wishaw. Intended to remain permanently in Canada.  (Although I don't think he did - passed away possibly Cambuslang 1960 according to anc tree)

As well as all the Wright family who immigrated, Margaret Penman (sister of Robert) was married at the Northern Hotel Fernie BC - 24 April 1916 to Charles Bennett - Millwright - born Minnesota USA.

US Border Crossing - MIss Elizabeth Penman - Born 1905 Wishaw and aged 17 years - Glasgow to Montreal arriving 23 July 1922 0n the Metagama. Mother Mrs Mary Penman 25 1/2 Belhaven Tce Wishaw. Going to Box 25 Whitefish Montana to her sister Mrs Charles Bennett.

1920 Census shows Maggie nee Penman Bennett with husband CHarles - Dakota Avenue Whitefish, Flathead, Montana.

Charles A Bennett aged 30 years.  Born Minnesota.
Margaret Bennett aged 22 years. Imm 1916. Naturalized.
Emma Bennett aged 73 years. Born Ohio. Mother.

and 1930  Dakota Avenue Whitefish Montana.

Charles A Bennett   40
Margaret Bennett aged 32 years. Imm 1916. Naturalized.

and 1940 Dakota Avenue Whitefish Montane.

Charley Bennett   50 and Margaret Bennett 42

Don't appear to have had children.

 U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 - Margaret Penman Bennett - Margaret Bennett - Margaret Penman Penman born 15 January 1898 and passed away 15 October 1995 Flathead Montana -  Parents William Penman and Mother Mary A Wright.

There was a passport application for Margaret nee Penman Bennett - 15 May 1924 - Whitefish Montana.
Passport issued to visit relatives in England and Scotland.
