The One-Month Feature of Ancestry.co.uk
« on: Friday 24 June 16 11:13 BST (UK) »
I don't want to get a 12 month subscription at Ancestry yet. But, I want to get a "Premium" package for just one month. For those who may have experienced a one month subscription, are there any limitations compared to purchasing for 12 months. I am inquiring here because Ancestry is very vague with its comparison of features.

I expect there are too, but have you considered using Ancestry at your local library instead?

You haven't updated your profile so we don't know where in the world you are but many local libraries offer free access inhouse to those with library tickets.

I actually never thought of a library. Thank you for that.

I live about 3 minutes walk away from a local library and I am sure they should have access there, do you think?

Not all my threads are associated.

This one is solely about the compared features of Ancestry. I am inquiring about the one month subscription compared to 12 months.

yes, but if you used Ancestry at the library, there would be no cost and no loss of datasets

Why don't you contact Ancestry and ask them the question?

Or am I missing something?

One month premium package will be the same as 12 months package. Access to Parish records 1538-1980 - Crucial military records - Census, birth, marriage & death records Plus all other UK records.
Better value than pay as you go - 1  (Pay-as-you-go allows you to access 12 records over 14 days for £9-99 Pay-as-you-go will not give you access to content contributed by other users (including trees, photos and records) or enable you to contact other users through Member Connect.

I  subscribe to  1 month premium and have no problems with it.  You can view all uk records, member trees and connect to other members. :)
