I agree Sue.  Probably difficult for the transcribers as 'u' can often look like 'n' in that era.  Some of the writing in the registers is difficult to decipher.

Wm John LAUDER died in 1886...in memoriam notice in 1887.

I can only find a Eliza KILPATRICK 17/18 years arriving in 1860 on the MERLIN.  Born Tyrone and was assigned to Belfast to work. Port Fairy.

Wm DOBSON was from Ireland.  Possible connection :-\ :-\

An on-line tree has further information about the sons mentioned in the Will - Thomas Ernest DOBSON 1870–1933 and Robert Mackenzie Daniel DOBSON 1873–1939.  There was also a son William DOBSON 1868-1886 whose death was apparently caused by a fall from a horse - he was a jockey or horse trainer.

I have not verified these dates on indexes so you would need to check them; however all of the information is from cited sources.

Judith
DYER - Wilts, London, Somerset, MIDLANE - Hants, Wilts, SONE - Hants, WRIGHT - London, Hants, SEAGER - Deptford, DWYER, FERGUSON - Victoria, MASON - Woodford Vic, BALLARD - South Wales, GOULDBY - Lowestoft
