Great work Carol!

Would you (anyone)  be able to tidy/lighten this one up for me please?...
Many thanks in advance...

Lisa

I have tried to lighten the face and sharpen it - I hope I haven't overdone it.

@Rena,

Apologies! For non-users of GIMP, I should have explained that anisotropic smoothing is provided as one of the tools in the G'MIC GIMP plug-in. Something which I am sure all users of this software will have added, as it provides many additional powerful tools.

Thanks dafyd46 - I'd already looked up the word and understood the explanation but don't ask me to repeat it as my tongue refuses to obey any command that my brain sends to it.  :D

Whilst I'm here could I ask for a colouring of my OH Bryan (1937-1999) in this image which was taken in the very hot July 1966. I'll understand if it's not a suitable image.  I'd like a blue shirt, blue tie and blue eyes please.

Superb Handypandy - thank you so much.

I've furrowed my brow looking at that shirt because it looks white and the collar looks creased, but as his civvy street white shirts had detachable collars that couldn't crease because they were "Trubenized" I think he must have worn his blue work shirt.  Even that puzzled me because I made sure they were starched to the hilt in order that they didn't crease during the day (and I wouldn't want him to have to scrub the latrine floor with a toothbrush again).   Eventually I came around to thinking that he'd probably "borrowed" a shirt from somebody on camp. (whether they knew about it or not  :D  )

I would like one done but  are we not supposed to ask for living people ? It is me when younger and the back of the photo has nearly peeled off.
So can I ask for that when it's me ?
