Can anyone tell me what the initials in front of the name Wright are on the top of this message

DR/OP is an abbreviation for the rank of Driver/Operator, probably in the Royal Artillery but maybe in other arms of the army.  The rank was level with Gunner or Private, but the soldier would have specialist training and skills in driving - perhaps a 15 cwt truck - and operating an old-fashioned two-way radio - no transistorised stuff then.

Thank you Ainslie, it probably was the RA as most of the family were in the Artillery, all but 2 who went in the RAF.
