The original poster hasn't been logged in here since 2016 and was trying to find information from a friend so they may not respond to your post. The birth for William Davison (5 Mar.1919) is now online and shows the parents as James Davison & Madge Noble who have been mentioned in the replies here.

Many thanks for responding so quickly.  I saw that the original post was back in 2016, so a reply was unlikely.  I believe this Davison branch to be related to mine, so could have supplied some extra information.  You are correct in the James Davison/Madge Noble as parents.  Thanks again.

Wow Kiltaglassan, you have given me information that I didn't know.  I knew about the two boys John and William Davison but did not know about older siblings Elizabeth and James.  James Davison and Madge Noble married on the 6th April 1914 and it looks like she gave birth 2 days later, on the 8th April !  Second child, James, born around a year later in July 1915 in 11 Wolff St - this was where James's father was living at the time (James's mother died in June 1914 which is possibly why first child Elizabeth was born in Parker Street).  I looked up the Street directory (Lennon & Wylie) and a William Noble was living at that address in Parker St - assume a brother of Madge.  Many thanks for that information.

A James Davison, son of an already deceased James and Madge Davison, was initially reported missing then later reported as presumed dead. His aunt,  Miss L Noble of 26 Parker Street, Belfast received the news. As reported in 1/1/1942 Belfast Telegraph, with picture of James. He was serving as a gunner in the Merchant Navy.
