But it looks like S in Sarah on the page. I could post more examples of the handwriting.

Look at the S in Sarah and the J in January.
I'm leaning towards Saml.

There is a difference with the S having a longer flat top than the J.
Also, the last letter looks to be raised - what's the right term?
