Perhaps it is different in the US, but whenever I've called a credit card company and said I shouldn't be charged for something, they put a dispute on the charge and deal with the company that made the charge.

Phone call to ancestry customer services if you cancelled 3 months ago - sure they will reimburse you if it is there error.
