Windows 10
« on: Thursday 12 May 16 17:48 BST (UK) »
How are those of you with windows 10 liking it?
The last 2 nights when I am in bed it installed itself on my computer. I have never said that I wanted it. I am happy with Windows 8.1.
Both mornings it has taken 20 minutes to get back to 8.1.

How can I stop this happening? Or will I have to eventually give in?

My son upgraded all our pc's to Windows 10, must say I was a bit apprehensive as I don't like change and was used to the Windows 8 that we had.  But must say I really like it.  It is more user friendly, for me anyway, not being really savvy with these things.   Have no complaints.  ;D ;D

It installed itself on my laptop a couple of months ago, I have left it because I am just as happy with Windows 10 as I was with Window 8.1 Although I still miss XP.

I am no techie, but I think you have to untick automatic updates to stop Windows 10 installing automatically.

I still have 8.1 on my desktop and keep getting asked if I want to upgrade but have no intention of changing.   I have windows 10 on my laptop so know what it is like and prefer to stay as I am  ::)

Apparently the 'free offer' to download ends soon  ::)

I had to in the end, I was still on windows 7 and in the end after 3 days of trying to do updates, I gave up and went to windows 10.  I read somewhere it was a conscious effort on the part of Microsoft to make updates impossible for users of windows 7 so there was no choice but to upgrade.  I am sure that's not true really.   :o :o
