Newark marriage look up Sudderby & Wilson 1827
« on: Monday 09 May 16 16:46 BST (UK) »
Hi
I'm after info on Thomas Suddaby born around 1800 he's on the 1841 census in Newark with his family
Thomas Suddaby 40
Hannah 35 wife
Samuel 13
Thomas 11
Hannah 5
George 2
Christopher 5 months

Thomas senior dies in January 1851 so doesn't appear on any other census. Neither Thomas or Hannah were born in Nottingham and later censuses show Hannah (Wilson) is born in South Cave, Yorkshire she lives to be 89 eventually being killed by her own son Samuel! I can't find anything more on Thomas so wonder if their marriage has any more info on it.

Thomas Sudderby marries Hannah Wilson on 15 March 1827 in Newark upon Trent.

Any help would be great 🙂
Thanks

Thanks Larkspur for all the info, I had a bit of it but not most, it's not been helped by the mix of Hannah and Anna. I've also had confusion over whether she was a Wilson or not (family tradition tells me she is) the 1851 census has a William Waddington living with the family in Newark and described as brother I can't find any other record for him other than a Chelsea Pensioner record. It's becoming a real brick wall for me!
Thanks again for your help :)
