There is no national birth registry in the United States [births are registered by the individual states] so it is virtually impossible to answer that question with the information that is available online.
Wiltshire:  Banks, Taylor
Somerset:  Duddridge, Richards, Barnard, Pillinger
Gloucestershire:  Barnard, Marsh, Crossman
Bristol:  Banks, Duddridge, Barnard
Down:  Ennis, McGee
Wicklow:  Chapman, Pepper
Wigtownshire:  Logan, Conning
Wisconsin:  Ennis, Chapman, Logan, Ware
Maine:  Ware, Mitchell, Tarr, Davis

Ah, I take it you are not a federalist at heart.

I don't know what federalist is. In England we have national registers for births marriages and deaths, which makes it very easy to search for  people countrywide

True.  On the other hand, we have censuses freely available [and not copyrighted] up to 1940.

The 1940 census lists eight people named Leon Allison born between 1930 and 1932 - one each in Alabama, Missouri, Indiana, Arkansas, Tennessee and South Carolina and two in Texas.  You can see them here:
