Hi Arry,

Lancs OPC have transcribed the record you quote, but they list the church as St Thomas, Ashton in Makerfield.
They have also transcribed St Elphin Warrington but there are no baptisms listed for September 1752.

If you email Lancs OPC, they will check the original image for you to confirm the spelling and the baptism venue.

Hi Arry

Here is the link to St Thomas in Ashton in Makerfield, which includes the baptism of John. Its on the right hand page 3qtrs of the way down.

He definitely wasn't baptised at St Elphin in Warrington, which I have included for you to see

There are some apprentice records on Find My Past.
A quick look for the name John Davidge, they all seem to be down south - Dorset and  Hampshire mainly. What was John Davidge's trade?

You have probably seen (Lancs OPC again):

Burial: 7 Feb 1789 St Saviour, Ringley
Diana Davidge
Abode: Prestolee re: Outwood

Burial: 16 May 1792 St Saviour, Ringley
John Davidge
Abode: Outwood

And on Find My Past, this marriage (Bishops Transcript record):
25 March 1788, Ecclesfield, Yorkshire
John Davidg of Bolton in the County of Lancashire to Diana Hattersley of this parish
