Hello Karen
I have visited
http://www.genealogy.gc.ca/10/10080302_e.html and have listed the Quebec arrivals that fell between Albert and Alice’s marriage in England in April 1913 and the definite birth of a daughter in March 1916.
To explain the word “definite” . . . :
There were three children from their marriage, the eldest being “Dolly”, most likely a nickname (diminutive Dol, Dolly, Dora) for Dorothea or Dorothy. It was thought that (a) she was born in early 1914 in either Appleton or Smith Falls, Ontario but died circa 1918, and (b) she was buried in Park Lawn Cemetery, Toronto. There is however no documentation to support any of this.
The next child - definite - was Minnie Nellie Ethel Ball who was born 6 March 1916 in [possibly Appleton] Ramsey Township, Lanark County, Ontario. The next child was Albert William Edward Ball who was born 4 March 1921[location unknown].

Given that the microfiche records are not transcribed for online searching and I do not have access to a library in Canada (where I believe one can walk in and view them - even get a copy) I am not sure how to best pursue this.
I appreciate the ongoing assistance received and welcome any guidance.
