I also have some ancestors from Gorleston and Corton as well in the 1700s, the Fairweather's.
I mentioned in your other thread about Yarmouth settlement records that I found a Samuel King baptised in Gorleston 21 August 1770, son of Samuel and Elizabeth King. However I found a marriage in 1791 of a Samuel King in Gorleston to Susannah Heins, so likely rules out your Samuel who wed Rose Soanes in 1796 in Corton. The marital status of the 1796 marriage of Samuel to Rose was not given but I did find the banns which says he was a single man.
Looking at all other Samuel King's baptised across Norfolk 1762-1772 I have a few baptised in Norwich and one or two in Ridlington near North Walsham. Your Blundeston one born 1766 seems to have died as an infant. Maybe he had a younger brother born soon after who was not baptised.
A Jay Samuel King was baptised in Gt Yarmouth in 1766, son of Samuel and Sarah but it seems you have already ruled that one out have you?
