Tyfica Road, Pontypridd
« on: Tuesday 19 April 16 19:38 BST (UK) »
A friend has asked me if i can find out about the house that he lives in at 3 Tyfica Road, Pontypridd.

I have an Ancestry account but cannot seem to find out how to search the census records by address only.  I have been able to find the 1911 record - the property was unoccupied bur I am drawing a blank on the others.

Any ideas?

FindMyPast is the only site (as far as I know) for searching all censuses by address

It is a subscription site or you can purchase credits

The Terms & Conditions of its membership do not allow publication of info from its website

Thank you.

Do any of the other sites offer this function?

Hi

As I said above FindMyPast is the only one I am aware of - Ancestry definitely doesn't

Look for things like Telephone directories and Electoral roles for address info as well for mid. & late 1900s .

The Rogers were living in market St 10years earlier, I'm not sure if tyfica Road was built in 1891 the school in the street was 1895 according to Google so it may be it was built a similar time as Pontypridd grew hugely at that point

Welshnewspapers on line   http://newspapers.library.wales

Search for "tymaesyfed" - the name of the house.

Richard died in 7th August 1908 probate gives his address as tymaesfed pontypridd, can't find that in Pontypridd and don't recognise it at all so I wonder if that was the house name

Mary died 18th December 1910 and her address is ty maesyfed tyfica Road Pontypridd which backs up my theory about the house name

Probably explains why house was empty in 1911 as they had died and I presume the house was up for sale
