« on: Tuesday 12 April 16 21:43 BST (UK) »
Good evening, I have just discovered that one of my ancesters a Susanna Jones from Chester married an Edward Richard Huddart in Manchester Cathedral 1872.  Could someone help me please to find out who their fathers are.

Many thanks
Kind regards
Heather :)

Curious?

The marriage took place on 29th February 1872, but the banns were read at St John the Evangelist, Leeds, Yorkshire on 14th January 1872?

only 2 records on www.familysearch.org for Edward Richard Huddart
the marriage in 1872 on 29th February
and this birth date and baptism

Edward Richard Huddart
England Births and Christenings
Name   Edward Richard Huddart
Gender   Male
Christening Date   12 Jan 1845
Christening Place   ST ALPHAGE,GREENWICH,KENT,ENGLAND
Birth Date   10 Sep 1843
Father's Name   James Huddart
Mother's Name   Sarah

I would make a record of this - then check 1881 census and see if it has a birth year of 1843 for your Edward Richard Huddart
good luck

His father was James a Land Stewart (probably should read Steward) and her father was Thomas Jones a Builder.  Edward was 29 and she was 30.

Thank you all so much - I thought Susanna was born in Chester?  In the 1881 census she is with her sister Ann Elizabeth Clemence born Chester?

kind regards
Heather

You had me going round in circles - the sister she's with in 1881 is named Catherine Clemence bc.1826 Chester.

Familysearch shows Catherine Jones, bp.18/9/1825 Holy Trinity, Chester, dau. of Thomas and Ann.
Susanna Jones bp.16/5/1835 Holy Trinity, Chester, parents ditto.

I can add that Sarah of Banbury was born ROBERTS.
Her husband James was probably brother of my ancestor Jonathan.
Their father was James, and grandfather Jonathan
Best regards
