Please Date and Restore if possible George Albert Evans born in 1882
« on: Sunday 10 April 16 14:36 BST (UK) »
Dear All ,

I have  an enquiry regarding my 2 x Great Grandfather , George Albert Evans  born in 1882 . We believe  he served in the Boer War . I have attached a copy of him circa 1900 , he is about 18/19 years old .

I would be grateful for any information , we are not sure what regiment he served in .

Have a  lovely day  :)

Your "photo of the photo" is not best quality so it pixelated when restoring. So my version is made smaller than I preferred - so as not to show the bad pixels.

If you get a scan version at 300-500dpi then you will get better result as the image is actually not badly damaged itself :-)

Thanks
Martyn

Good quality size scans will mean much better restores >> hint hint :-)

Could be RN but not enough of the cap badge showing. If not RN I would say it must be MM.
Where was he 1901-11?
