To Ellie Moor and Hallmark
Hi! I’m just beginning a roots search of Alexander Moorhead and very much appreciate your findings shared in posts! Is a birth registration available online for Alexander? Is it agreed that he passed in 1944 with son James present?
If either of you are interested in connecting by email I’d welcome it!

Looks like he was born in 1859 as he was aged 45 years and 4 months in the “List of Teachers Employed by the Commissioners of National Education on 31 March 1905”
https://www.nationalarchives.ie/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/NAI_ED_PCO_10_1_24-Mayers-SMorris_Redux.pdf

So he was born before civil registration of births was introduced.
