Where are you seeing Ballina, Co. Mayo ?
I looked up the 1925 shipping record for William and Anne Moorehead (Belfast to St John's) and the address is same as on the death notice, Drumreel, Moat Farrell, Co Longford.

So, the 1944 death is him ... great find with the ex NT 

They appear on two passenger lists.
UK, Outward Passenger and Canadian Passenger Lists

The UK,Outward asks "last address in the UK" and they indicate:
Drumreel, Moat Farrell, Co Longford

But on the other record, the Canadian Passengers Lists , when it says "Give full name, relationship and address of your nearest relative in the country from which you came" both Annie and William have:
"Father. Alex Moorhead, Ballysokeery, Ballina, Co. Mayo"

So I am not quite sure what to make of it??

MOOREHEAD (Moatfarrell Co Longford.) April 7 1944 at his residence; Drumreel, Moatefarrell, Alexander Moorhead. ex-N.T.. aged 84 years. Remains will be removed to Ballinalee Church this (Saturday) . evening at 5 o'C. (O.T.). Funeral to-morrow (Sunday) at 3 o'C. (O.T.) to the adjoining cemetery.
Had a quick look in 1944/5 and he doesn't seem to have left a will or any Letters of Administration.

It's just the iPad can be very contrary with some stuff, I can see the top of it fine but can't see lower down unless I make it tiny and than of course can't read it as its too small but can't zoom in on the lower part either.
Drives me batty sometimes.

Sadly no mention of his children ...

I believe his daughter Annie might have cut all ties once she came to Canada as NO ONE living today seems to know anything about the Moorhead line ...nothing whatsoever!  Not what happened to William or her other two brothers in Ireland or her parents .... 

Annie died in 1968...and only had two children.  Both are now deceased too.

She has been a mystery that we are slowly unfolding!

Yes it is ... 72 years ago he passed away ... and if it is him (the correct father of my annie), then with him I think went a lot of untold family history
