It could well be Garstonite - Maria/Mary are often interchangeable (so to speak!)

There is a Maria Townsend buried in 1854 at Holy Trinity, Brompton. Address-- her address, Camden St Kensington. However her age looks like 34 = but I'm wondering if this should be 54. Worth bearing in mind for her possible death.
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Hi,

Welcome to RootsChat :)

Just a thought, 51 is quite old (but not impossible) to have a 2 year old child. Maybe the 1851 census was wrongly transcribed from the original enumeration form and Maria was really 31. That would fit with the death of a 34 year old Maria TOWNSEND in 1854.

Regards,
Daisy
