The worst Ancestry transcription ever?

Not the worst transcription but made me smile.
Looking at Edward Hazlewood WW1 Pension Ledgers & Index cards 1914-1923 has him from West Startlepool.
Looking at the original, it is possible to see how that mistake was made but it is all in the transcriber's interpretation.

I've found a whole tranch of them, but I can't make out if it's a human being idiotic, or an AI thinking it's seeing a pattern, which is in fact completely wrong - in this case transcribing names of passengers arriving in Halifax, Canada on British ships, but bit by bit, every name starts becoming slavic in some way.....

Not Ancestry this time but My Heritage. WWII U.S. Draft registration cards now free wo view for a few days so started looking for people I knew. Discovered the transcriptions are so bad.
- one relative has next of kin listed as Mattie Elizabeth (Mrs. Elizabeth)
- my uncle's listed as living in 'Hitchfield' (Litchfield) and his brother's middle name incorrect.
- my grandfather listed as next of kin as Helene E. (Helen G.)
Many, many more. In all cases the writing is not even close to illegible.
